Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Domain Endeavors collects when you use our Website, how we use and share that information, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using the Website, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy, which is also part of our Terms of Use. (If you do not agree with these practices, please do not use the Website.)

1. Information We Collect:
We collect personal information that you choose to provide to us, as well as some information automatically collected from your use of our Website:

  • Information You Provide Directly:
If you fill out our contact or inquiry form, or otherwise contact us, we will collect the information you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, and the content of your message or inquiry. For example, when you use the contact form, we ask for your name, your email, and your message details, and we give you the option to opt in to our mailing list (promotional emails). You may also provide similar contact information when corresponding with us via email or phone (if you call us or we have a consultation, for instance). We do not currently collect any payment information through our Website. (If you purchase a service, payment details are handled by third-party processors as noted in the Terms of Use.) Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, or passwords) via our contact forms, as those are not needed for our services. If you do so, we will handle such data in accordance with this Policy but cannot guarantee any additional protections beyond those described.
  • Information Collected Automatically:
When you visit our Website, we may automatically collect certain technical information about your visit. This includes, for example, your computer or device’s IP address, your browser type, device identifiers, operating system, the pages or content you view on our site, and the dates/times of your visits. We collect this information through server logs and third-party analytics services. For instance, we might use Google Analytics or similar tools to gather aggregate site usage statistics (such as how many users visited a page and for how long). This data helps us understand how users navigate our site and improve the Website’s design and content. We do not use this automatically-collected data to personally identify you, and we do not link it to the personal information you provide (except in rare cases of investigating security incidents).
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies:
Like most websites, we use cookies (small text files stored on your device) and similar tracking technologies to provide and enhance the Website’s functionality. For example, we may use cookies to remember your preferences, to understand how you interact with our site, or to protect our site (through security services). We may also use third-party tools that set cookies, such as Cloudflare (which helps with site security and performance) and analytics providers. Additionally, if we display affiliate links or integrated content, those third parties may set cookies on your browser to track referrals or ensure proper functioning of their services. You have choices with respect to cookies: you can usually set your web browser to refuse some or all cookies or to alert you before accepting them. However, please note that if you disable cookies, some parts of our Website may not function properly. For further information, consult your browser’s help documentation.

We currently do not use cookies for advertising or personalized marketing on our site. Also, at this time, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers, because there is no industry standard for compliance. (You can use other methods, like adjusting cookie settings or browser extensions, to control tracking.)  For more information about cookies and how we use them, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
  • Media and User Uploaded Content:
We don’t currently allow user uploads but if we do in the future you are responsible for ensuring your personal privacy when providing, submitting or uploading any content. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data intact (EXIF GPS) or included. If you upload content with EXIF GPS or similar metada included, visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from your images or potentially identify you or your location.

2. How We Use Your Information:
We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To Respond to Inquiries and Provide Services:
We primarily use your personal information (name, email, message content) to respond to the inquiries or requests you send us. For example, if you contact us to ask about a domain for sale or to request our services, we will use your information to communicate with you and attempt to assist with your request. If you become a client (for a domain purchase or consulting engagement), we will use your information in performing and managing that contract (e.g., sending you deliverables, invoices, or support messages).
  • Marketing and Newsletters (With Consent):
If you opt in to receive promotional communications from us (for example, by checking the subscription checkbox on our contact form or explicitly requesting to join our mailing list), we will use your email address to send you our newsletters, updates, or special offers from time to time. We will only send you marketing emails if you have given consent (opted in). You have the right to opt out of these communications at any time – each marketing email will include an “unsubscribe” link, or you can contact us at any time to request removal from our list. If you opt out of marketing emails, we will stop sending them. (Note: Even if you opt out of promotional messages, we may still send you transactional or administrative communications, such as responses to your direct inquiries or critical notices about a service you’ve requested, as these are not promotional.)
  • Site Operation and Improvements:
We use automatically-collected technical information (such as IP address and browsing data) and cookies to operate, maintain, and improve our Website. For instance, this data helps us debug technical issues, protect the site from fraudulent or malicious activity, and understand user engagement so we can make the site more useful. We may use analytics data in aggregate form to guide our decisions on new site features or content. We may also use information to personalize your experience (for example, remembering that you’ve seen a notification so as not to show it again).
  • Security and Fraud Prevention:
Information (including IP addresses and cookie data) may be used to protect our Website, business, and users. We monitor for suspicious activity and may use your information to investigate or prevent fraud, hacking attempts, violations of our Terms, or other harmful activities. Our use of services like Cloudflare is partly for this purpose – to filter out malicious traffic and keep the site secure.
  • Legal Compliance:
In certain cases, we may need to use or disclose your information to comply with a legal obligation. For example, we may retain records of communications or transactions as required by law, or use your information to meet compliance obligations (such as know-your-customer requirements if applicable to a domain sale, or record-keeping for tax purposes if you purchase services). We may also use and disclose information as necessary to exercise or defend legal claims.
  • Other Purposes:
If we intend to use your information for a purpose not described in this Policy, we will seek your consent or provide you with an opportunity to opt out, as required by law.

Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR Notice):
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our legal grounds for processing your personal data typically include: Consent (for example, sending marketing emails which you opt into), Contract (when we process data to fulfill a contract or a request you made, such as contacting you about a service or sale, which is a step you requested), and Legitimate Interests (for example, using cookies for security or analytics – we have a legitimate interest in maintaining our website and understanding usage, and we ensure this does not override your privacy rights)commission.europa.eu. In cases where we rely on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

3. How We Share or Disclose Information:
We respect your privacy and handle your personal data with care. Here is how we may share information:

  • No Selling of Personal Data:
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or monetary gain. We will not disclose your personal data to unrelated third parties for them to contact you for their own purposes without your consent.
  • Service Providers and Partners:
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who perform functions necessary to operate our business and Website. This includes, for example, companies that provide website hosting, data storage, email delivery services, customer relationship management (CRM) software, security services (e.g., Cloudflare), analytics services, or payment processing. We only share the information that is needed for those providers to perform their tasks on our behalf (for instance, if we use an email service to send newsletters, your email address would be processed by that provider; or if we use a secure payment processor, your billing information goes directly to them). These third parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it solely for the purpose of providing the service to us.
  • Affiliate and Advertising Partners:
If you click an affiliate link on our site (see our “Affiliate Disclosure”), certain data (like the fact you came from our site or an ID code) may be shared with the affiliate program or merchant to track commissions. This typically does not involve personal data like your name or email, but rather device identifiers or referral codes. We do not receive your personal information from our affiliate partners except aggregated reports (e.g., we might see that an anonymous user clicked a link and made a purchase, for commission calculation). If in the future we display any third-party ads or sponsored content, we will update our policy to reflect any data sharing that occurs with advertisers.
  • Business Transfers:
If Domain Endeavors is involved in a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or part of our assets, user information (including personal data) might be among the assets transferred to the buyer or acquiring entity. We will ensure that any such transfer is subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations and will strive to provide notice on our Website if your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights:
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or legal process (for example, in response to a subpoena, court order, or government demand), or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. For instance, if law enforcement authorities lawfully require information about users of our Website and provide the necessary legal documents, we may be obligated to provide data. Similarly, if you engage in behavior that harms our Website or violates the law, we may disclose relevant information to law enforcement or third parties as part of investigations (e.g., sharing an IP address with a security researcher to trace the source of an attack).
  • With Your Consent:
Aside from the cases above, if we ever need to share your information for other purposes, we will notify you and obtain your consent if required. You will have the choice to let us share or not in such scenarios.
  • Aggregate or De-Identified Data:
We may also share information that has been aggregated or anonymized (so it can no longer be linked to you personally) with third parties for analytics, research, or other purposes. For example, we might publish trends about the number of visitors our site receives or the types of domains inquired about, as long as that information does not identify any individual.

4. Data Security:
We take reasonable measures to protect the security of your personal information. This includes implementing industry-standard technical, physical, and administrative security measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of your information. For example, our Website employs HTTPS/SSL encryption to protect data transmitted between your browser and our site, and we use reputable hosting with security features. We also restrict access to personal data to those in our team or service providers who have a need to know. However, please understand that no website or Internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. Any transmission of information to us is at your own risk. In particular, emails or contact form submissions are not necessarily encrypted end-to-end, so avoid sending highly sensitive information via those means. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

If you create an account on our site in the future (as noted in the Terms, currently no user accounts exist), it will be your responsibility to use a strong password and keep it confidential. We also urge you to log out of the Website and close your browser after use, especially when on a shared or public device.

5. Data Retention:
We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. For example, if you contact us, we may keep a record of our communications for a certain period in case we need to reference it for ongoing services or future inquiries. If you opt into our mailing list, we will retain your email until you unsubscribe (at which point we will remove your contact from our active list, though we may keep a record that you opted out to honor your preference). We also may retain information as needed to comply with legal obligations (such as accounting rules), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we have no ongoing legitimate need to use your information, we will either delete it or anonymize it.

6. Your Rights and Choices:
You have several privacy rights and choices regarding your personal information. We have outlined these rights and how you can exercise them below:

  • Access and Correction:
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to receive information about how we use it. You also have the right to request correction of your personal information if it is inaccurate or incomplete. For example, if you believe we have your email or name recorded incorrectly, you can ask us to update it.
  • Deletion (Right to Be Forgotten):
You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you. For instance, if you previously contacted us and you want us to erase that correspondence and your contact details from our records, you can ask us to do so. We will honor deletion requests to the extent we are able, subject to certain exceptions (for example, we might retain information if required for legal obligations or if the data is needed to complete a transaction you requested, etc.). If we cannot delete information for a legitimate reason, we will explain why. Note: If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to request deletion of your personal information (with some exceptions such as if the information is needed to complete a transaction or for legal compliance)oag.ca.gov
  • Opt-Out of Marketing:
As mentioned, if you have subscribed to our marketing emails, you can opt out at any time. Simply click the “unsubscribe” link in any promotional email, or email us at our contact address with a request to remove you from marketing communications. We will process your opt-out request as soon as possible. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails – you will only receive such communications if you chose to opt in, and you can revoke that choice whenever you like.
  • Cookies & Tracking Choices:
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You may also use browser extensions or tools to block certain trackers. See the “Cookies” section above for more details on how doing so might affect site functionality. Additionally, various third parties provide opt-out choices for analytics and advertising cookies (for example, Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics tracking). While we currently do not use targeted advertising cookies on our site, we may at some point in the future. We include this information for completeness.
  • California Privacy Rights:
If you are a resident of California, in addition to the rights mentioned above (access, deletion, etc.), you have specific rights under the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA). These include the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information (with exceptions), the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rightsoag.ca.govoag.ca.gov. Because we do not sell personal data, the opt-out of sale is generally not applicable (we do not sell or share personal information for monetary value or for cross-context behavioral advertising). If you send us a request pertaining to your California rights, we will respond as required by law. Typically, you (or an authorized agent acting on your behalf) can contact us through the methods in the “Contact Us” section to submit such requests. We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming control of your email address or requesting additional information) before fulfilling certain requests. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframe required by law (generally within 45 days for CCPA requests, with an extension of another 45 days if reasonably necessary). We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights (meaning we won’t deny you services or provide a different level of service just because you made a privacy request).
  • GDPR/UK Data Protection Rights:
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or a region with similar data protection laws, you are entitled to exercise various data subject rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR. These include: the right to access the data we hold about you; the right to rectification (correction) of your data; the right to erasure (to have your data deleted, also known as the “right to be forgotten”); the right to restrict processing of your data (under certain conditions, for example, if you contest the accuracy of the data or have objected to processing); the right to data portability (to obtain a copy of your data in a common format and, where feasible, to have it transferred to another controller); and the right to object to certain processing activities (for instance, you can object to processing of your data for direct marketing at any time). You also have the right not to be subject to automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you, unless it meets certain criteria (note: we do not engage in any such automated decision-making on the Website). Furthermore, if we have collected and processed your personal data with your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond to your requests in accordance with applicable data protection law. Additionally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (such as a Data Protection Authority in the EU, or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK) if you believe our processing of your personal data violates the law. We encourage you to contact us first, so we can address your concerns directly.
  • Authorized Agents and Representatives:
If you wish, you may designate an authorized agent (for example, a person registered with the California Secretary of State, or someone with written permission) to make requests on your behalf (for CCPA or other privacy law purposes). We will take steps to verify the identity of the agent and the authenticity of the request, as well as confirm that the agent has your permission to act on your behalf.
  • Response Time:
We will make every effort to respond to your privacy-related request or inquiry promptly. Please note that these rights are subject to certain limitations and exemptions under applicable law. If we cannot comply with a request, we will provide an explanation subject to legal restrictions.

7. International Users – Data Transfers:
Domain Endeavors is based in the United States, and our Website is hosted in the U.S. If you are visiting the Website from outside the United States, be aware that any information you provide or that we collect will be transferred to and processed in the United States (or other jurisdictions where our service providers may be located). This means that your information will be subject to U.S. laws, which may not provide the same level of data protection as the laws in your home country. However, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we may rely on lawful mechanisms to transfer data (such as your consent, or the fact that the transfer is necessary to perform a contract with you. For example, if you’re using our services, the transfer of your data to the U.S. is required to provide those services. In some cases, we may implement Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized transfer frameworks to safeguard your data. By using our Website or contacting us and providing your information, you consent to the transfer of your personal data to the United States and the processing of it there as explained in this Policy. We will endeavor to ensure that any third-party service providers handling personal data outside of your region provide a level of protection for your data comparable to the protection provided within your jurisdiction.

8. Children’s Privacy:
Our Website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not submit any personal information to us. In addition, per our Terms of Use eligibility requirement, the Website is intended for adults (18+). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 (or under the applicable age of consent in certain jurisdictions, if higher), we will promptly take steps to delete such information from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe we have information about your child, please contact us so we can remove it. Teens aged 13–17 should only use the Website with parental permission and supervision, and if you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you should not submit personal information or inquiries without consent from your parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy:
We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do so, we will update the “Effective Date” or “Last Updated” date at the top of the Policy. If the changes are significant, we may also provide a more prominent notice (such as a notice on our homepage or a notification via email if you have provided one). Your continued use of the Website after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information on our privacy practices. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you should stop using the Website and, if necessary, adjust your preferences (e.g., opt out of communications).
